West Virginians deserve a secure, accurate and dependable election process.
I will continue to work to put confidence back in the voting process. That can be done on several different levels.
I will use my communications skills to develop working relationships with the county clerks and election officials.
West Virginia is fortunate to have some of the best qualified and most experienced county clerks in the country.
They are the ones on the front lines of elections and I will work with them as we address the sometimes complex and ever changing election process. |
I will work to increase poll worker participation. Poll workers help build the foundation of our voting systems. For that reason, a diverse poll worker pool needs to be established.
The solution lies with our many civic organizations. The involvement of civic organizations has a three-fold
benefit:
- Provides counties with a diverse selection of workers
- Provides revenue for organizations if the poll workers donate the money they earn on election day back to their organization
- Our voting process is strengthened which builds confidence in our system

VOTE is an acronym which stands of Volunteers
Organizing The Electorate.
It is a program that uses positive peer support where friends, and neighbors can encourage each other to vote, be a poll worker and get involved in the political process. |
